21 more COVID-19 cases detected in Nagaland, total soars to 480

Nagaland has reported all of its COVID-19 cases after the influx of citizens who were stranded in other stated amid the lockdown

Guwahati: Nagaland has registered 21 fresh cases COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 1. With this fresh batch of cases, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state has reached 480, out of which 312 cases are still active. Not a single casualty has been reported thus far.

In the last 24 hours, 199 samples were tested, out of which 21 samples tested COVID-19 positive, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom wrote on Twitter, adding that 10 of the infected patients are from Peren quarantine center, 8 are from a Phek quarantine center, 2 are from Kohima and one is from Dimapur.

In June, India has seen a significant bump in the number of COVID-19 cases, with the number rising at a breakneck pace. The country has seen over 5.85 lakh cases till June 30 — this means that over 67% of total cases were registered in the past 30 days.
