Assessment camp for children with special needs by Sarva Shiksha/Samagra Shiksha and Nagaland Education Mission Society

KOHIMA: Assessment camp for children with special needs was organized by Sarva Shiksha/Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland Education Mission Society in collaboration with Department of Health and Family Welfare, Star Key New Delhi and Department of Social Welfare was held at the Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRC) Nagarjan, Dimapur on Thursday. Around 166 special children attended and benefited from the camp. The camp was for check-up of visually impaired children and for disabilities including locomotion disability, hearing impairment, etc. For hearing impaired children, hearing aids were provided on the spot. Assistive devices will be provided under Samagra Shiksha after completion of the assessment camps, states a DIPR release.
