Dimapur-Kohima two-lane road project to be ready by December 15, NHIDCL officials assure RN Ravi

Dimapur: The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi has been assured by the senior officials of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) that the on-going two-lane road construction along the Dimapur to Kohima stretch will be completed before December 15. This was assured during a review meeting on the ongoing road projects on Thursday.

According to a press release, the projects reviewed in the meeting were Kohima-Jessami road, Kohima-bypass road, Kohima-Mao road, Dimapur-Peren road and Changtongya-Longleng road. Due to rock sliding incidences between the Kohima-Dimapur stretch, the work for the two-lane Kohima-Dimapur project was slowed down.

The press release also informed, "The governor reiterated the contractors to expedite the ongoing work and to achieve the target as assured by the contractors. The NHIDCL officials highlighted hiccups in certain district resulting in the stoppage of ongoing works for which the governor has asked the state government to resolve the matter at the earliest."
