Election officer holds meeting for five districts in Nagaland

KOHIMA: Election Expenditure Observer for Kohima, Dimapur, Peren, Phek and Pughoboto, LP Singh held a poll review meeting for five districts through video conference at the DC’s office in Kohima on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Singh took stock of the electioneering process carried out by the five districts in regard to the constitution of various cells, trainings and related matters under election expenditure and monitoring, stated a DIPR release.

The Observer reminded the members to strictly adhere with the modal code of conduct (MCC) and requested all the cells, which have been formed for the election, to carry out their duties efficiently in their respective areas. “All the critical events should be covered by the videography, surveillance and flying squad teams and any untoward incidents should be reported accordingly”, he said.

The Observer asked all the Assistant Expenditure Observers (AEOs) to maintain Shadow Observation Register properly, which he will be inspecting during his visit in each districts. He hoped that the Excise Department is on top of their job and further requested the AEOs to maintain the record properly whenever there has been any seizure of liquor in their respective areas.
