Major David Manlun, Kirti Chakra’s bust unveiled at Tizit in Mon district

Kohima: A hero is someone who has given his life to something bigger than oneself. This aptly describes Maj David Manlun, Kirti Chakra (posthumous) who laid down his life on June 6, 2017, during an encounter with insurgents at Lapa village near Tizit in Nagaland.

On Monday, Maj David’s bust was unveiled at Tizit in Mon district. His parents were present on this solemn occasion. The ceremony was attended by many military and civil dignitaries. Civil administration officials, the Anghs and village chiefs of all the neighbouring villages were also present to pay their respect to Major David, stated a press release.
