Kohima: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio claimed on Wednesday that the Hornbill Festival had improved Nagaland's standing internationally by presenting the young people's inventiveness, vitality, and inventiveness to the world. Basking in the "resounding success" of the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival, he noted in a congratulatory letter that the festival has also allowed the State's young to achieve their goals.
He went on to say that all Nagaland residents are extremely proud of the 25th anniversary of this legendary celebration. CM Rio said that the festival now has a multifaceted element thanks to the policies of the Partner Countries and States, which promote cooperation, partnerships, and opportunities for growth.
According to him, the Music Festival has surpassed all expectations, establishing Nagaland as a global music hub and giving the State's young musicians unmatched stage time. “Most importantly, our collective goal of promoting, preserving, and celebrating our age-old traditions, rich cultural heritage, and the Naga way of life continues to be strengthened through this event,” he added.
But CM Rio also admitted that Nagaland has had a difficult 2024, with recent months marked by suffering and severe disasters. He claimed that in spite of these challenges, a number of government departments put in a great deal of effort and finished many projects on a war footing in record time. He stated that these accomplishments highlight Nagaland's enormous potential for faster development if all governmental and aiding organisations collaborate with the same fervour and dedication.
He referred to the achievement as a team effort involving all departments, organisations, and personnel under the capable direction of the Chief Secretary and the DGP, as well as the Ministers, Advisors, MLAs, PSU Chairpersons, and the entire government apparatus. He stated that special appreciation should be given to the leaders of civil society and tribal hohos.
