Nagaland: DMC Puts Up Digital Billboard To Display Fixed Rates Of Goods

Dimapur: The Dimapur Municipal Corporation has put up a new digital billboard at Newmarket in Dimapur. The digital billboard will display the daily rate of wholesale and retail commodities that has been fixed by the Dimapur Municipal Corporation. 

This step taken by the Dimapur Municipal Corporation has been lauded by the people of Dimapur. Now, it will be easier for the public to buy goods without the fear of being cheated by the shopkeepers.

In other news, the Dimapur administration has extended lockdown measures till September 16 with additional relaxations and directives.

In a notification, the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, informed that that shops and business establishments dealing with essential goods and commodities such as vegetable, fish/meat vendors, milk booths, bakeries, local grocery stores, public utility services like LPG and E-commerce services etc. would remain open on all the days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the lockdown period.

The order further informed that all other shops/business establishments dealing with all kinds of goods/items/articles and also all shops located in New Market, Hongkong Market and Hazi Park have been permitted to open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As the COVID-19 cases are declining in Nagaland, the Nagaland government has announced the Unlock Phase-II which will be for seven days, commencing from July 11-17.

The COVID-19 guidelines have been directed by the High-Powered Committee (HPC) as the COVID pandemic has lessened the state. Mmhonlumo Kikon, the HPC for COVID-19 representative, said that only selected train administrations will be permitted with strict COVID rules. He posted a tweet on Twitter, saying that the HPC has decided to start Unlock 2 in Nagaland from July 11 to 17 with additional relaxation. DTFs will give the revised SOPs and will be made accessible on all platforms. HPC assessed the preparation for the following wave. The selected train service will be permitted with Strict SOPs.
