The decision by State cabinet of setting up of Staff Selection Board gave immense pleasure to the Naga Students' Federation and thus realizing the long-cherished dream of thousands of aspiring youth to have equal job opportunities with merit becoming the norm for selection.

After the decision was made official, the NSF hailed the decision of the Rio-led cabinet. "The federation conveys its warm gratitude to the state government for its genuine concern towards the students' community and the youths, having embarked upon a historic crossroad of our state, and expresses optimist that the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (SSV) will be implemented in letter and spirit", the apex student body wrote in a statement.
