Nagaland: Indefinite ban on State Govt vehicles by NSF and ENSF begins
The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) and Eastern Naga Students' Federation (ENSF) started their indefinite ban on the movement of Nagaland government vehicles across the state. Despite several appeals by the Nagaland Government, both the federations started their first phase of agitation fromĀ
Monday morning alleging that the State government is not listening to their demand.

The federations have been demanding that the government streamline the Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) teachers of 2010 and 2013 batches into State Education Cadre. They demanded that the government should allow time-bound assurance to streamline the teachers.

However, the state said it was taking all required actions on the demand and appealed to both the student bodies not to take any extreme step of agitation, especially taking the COVID-19 pandemic into consideration.

In Dimapur, the Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) and Dimapur Eastern Naga Students Union Dimapur (DENSU) on Monday imposed the ban on government vehicles by stationing their members at various strategic locations in the town.

Vehicles on duty for medical services, administration, police, fire, and emergency services have been exempted from the purview of the agitation.
