Dimapur: The Government of Nagaland has appointed Sentiyanger Imchen as the next Chief Secretary of the state. He will officially assume the post on August 1, following the retirement of Dr. J. Alam on July 31.

A notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel ‘A’ Branch) on Wednesday confirmed the appointment.

Imchen is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the Nagaland cadre. At present, he is serving as the Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner.

His appointment marks a key administrative change at the top level of Nagaland’s bureaucracy.
