DIMAPUR: In a heartwarming encounter, twelve students hailing from the villages of Kigwema, Kezo, and Chakabama in Nagaland had the unique opportunity to meet President Droupadi Murmu at the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. This memorable rendezvous took place on a Friday, during their enlightening 14-day national integration tour.

The group of students, consisting of seven girls and five boys, were accompanied by their dedicated teachers, and this remarkable journey was orchestrated by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army. Their adventure commenced on September 27th when General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps, Lt. Gen HS Sahi, flagged off their exciting journey from the Rangapahar Military Station in Dimapur.

President Droupadi Murmu warmly welcomed the young visitors and imparted valuable words of wisdom. She emphasized the pivotal role of education and encouraged the students to work diligently towards their dreams. The President also took the opportunity to felicitate these promising young minds.

The tour was an enriching experience for the students as they explored various fascinating destinations across the country. Their itinerary included visits to Bareilly, Ranikhet, Nainital, Dehradun, and Mussoorie. An exciting highlight of their journey was the journey to New Delhi aboard the Vande Bharat Express, India's most advanced and fastest train.

As part of their educational tour, the students had the privilege of visiting two prestigious institutions, the Indian Military Academy and Rashtriya Indian Military College, both located in Dehradun. They had the opportunity to witness the rigorous training and impressive passing-out parade of the soldiers belonging to the Kumaon and Naga Regiment in Ranikhet.

Throughout their adventure, the students were captivated by the kaleidoscope of experiences, scenic beauty, and cultural diversity offered by the state of Uttarakhand and the National Capital Region. The tour not only broadened their horizons but also instilled a deep appreciation for India's rich cultural tapestry.

The remarkable journey concluded, and the students are set to return to their beloved Nagaland on October 10th. This national integration tour not only created lasting memories for these young minds but also instilled in them the importance of education and the diversity that makes India a truly unique nation.
