National Peoples Party legislators in Nagaland merge with NDPP

Dimapur: The National Peoples Party (NPP) on Wednesday suffered a major setback when two of its legislators in Nagaland merged with the ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDDP). The NPP legislators are Imnatiba and L Khumo Khiamniungan. “The merger will strengthen the PDA government under the progressive leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton,” an NDPP statement said. “It will enhance stability and ensure that the PDA government remains focused on the agenda of all round development in an inclusive manner,” it added.
