NSDMA to review disaster management capability on Nov 16 in Nagaland

KOHIMA: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) will conduct the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) on November 16 next (Wednesday) to test the capability of the State to respond to, and manage any mega disaster.

According to DIPR, Nagaland, as a precursor to the NEPEx, a capacity development programme for the same will be organised for the AHoDs/HoDs concerned and the DDMA officials on November 11 at ATI, Kohima. The AHoDs/HoDs of all the departments concerned and two officials each from all the District Disaster Management Authorities have been requested to participate in the programme. The participants from District Disaster Management Authorities attending the said programme would thereafter impart IRS, and do Table Top Exercise in their respective districts on November 15 at the district level.
