Guwahati: On the day he committed suicide, a video of the beloved Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput playing cricket stadium in Sovima during a visit to the state in 2018, started going viral in social media platforms. Sushant during his visit had donated Rs. 1.25 crore to Nagaland CM Relief fund for Nagaland flood relief.

Yesterday, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also shared a picture of himself with the late Sushant Singh Rajput along with the caption, "Shocked & saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. He personally handed over a cheque to me when Nagaland was affected by floods & landslides in 2018. His love & generous contribution to the people of Nagaland will always be remembered. May his soul RIP".

In the video that is now being shared on online media, Sushant can be seen expertly dealing with local bowling talents. At one point, he is served a full-pitched delivery which he counters with the helicopter shot, popularized by the former Indian team captain, M S Dhoni.

Although Sushant was never a cricketer himself, he is also a beloved of the cricket-loving fraternity as he has starred in cricket-themed movies such as Kai Po Che (2013) and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016).

This video has elicited emotional responses from the social media crowd. "My heart is broken. He was so relatable since he was in the small screen before he went on to do movies. Peace be with you brother", wrote one user, while another said, "I feel so sorry for him he was at the peak of his career my deepest condolences to the bereaved family RIP."

Yesterday, Sushant, who has given numerous hits, reportedly committed suicide at his Bandra residence here on Sunday morning, a police official said. "He has committed suicide. Mumbai Police is investigating. The police have not found any (suicide) note yet," Mumbai Police Spokesperson and Deputy Commissioner of Police Pranay Ashok said.
