RPI Promises to Work for the Equality of all Communities of Nagaland

KOHIMA: A large number of parties have put in their candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state of Nagalanf\d. One of these parties, the Republican Party of India (Athawale) has started campaigning for their candidates in the state.

Campaigning for the candidates of the Republican Party of India, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment of India Ramdas Athawale mentioned that his party will work to bring in social and economic equality to all communities in the state of Nagaland.

The political leader flagged off the election campaign for the Republican Party of India (Athawale) from Tseminyu, a newly notified district in the state of Nagaland. He mentioned that the party stands for the welfare of the backward and the minorities of the communities and for the farmers of the states.

"We have set up eight candidates for the February 27 Nagaland Assembly elections with the object of bringing more development to the state as envisioned by the founder of the Party Babasaheb Ambedkar, writer of Indian Constitution," said the political leader Ramdas Athawale.

The leader also mentioned that the Republican Party of India, which is an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party led NDA government in Delhi. The candidates of the party will be working with the Bharatiya Janata Party - Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party coalition in the state after winning from their constituencies.

He called Loguseng Semp, the RPI(A) candidate for the Tseminyu constituency will be the architect for development and progress in his constituency.

"Once elected with a heavy majority, I will talk with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Union Minister Amit Shah for him to become a state cabinet minister," mentioned Ramdas Athawale while praising the Prime Minister for taking several steps towards the development of the state.

RPI(A) is contesting elections in Nagaland for the first time and has put in their candidates in eight assembly seats of the state namely Ghaspani-II, Aboi, Tamlu, Noksen, Longkhim-Chare, Tuensang Sadar-II, Pungro-Kiphire and Tseminyu.
