In a significant development, Tongtein Longchar of Class 12, Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur was adjudged as one of the winners (senior 1 category) in the public speaking competition organized by the Noble Youth International Model United Nations.

In a press release, the school informed that 150 participants representing 15 countries from across the globe participated in the competition.

As per reports, the preliminary round consisted of recorded video submissions on given topics from August 1-10.The second round of the competition was held online for two-days, on August 11 and 12, wherein each selected participant had to deliver extempore speech on two topics.

Tongtein expressed that she had an enriching experience and she is hopeful about new doors being opened for many of such productive engagements on ongoing global and national issues.
