The minister visited Nagaland's Wokha area as part of a major outreach initiative to strengthen ties with the northeastern states. There, he engaged in extensive conversations with local and tribal representatives.
The Modi government's dedication to inclusive development and the inclusion of tribal groups in the story of national prosperity was emphasized by the state minister of personnel at the meeting.

"Prime Minister Modi has prioritized the northeast, viewing it as an economic engine rather than a peripheral region. Listening to, comprehending, and addressing local goals is the goal of every visit here," Singh stated.
According to him, the government's outreach to the northeast is structural in nature rather than symbolic, supported by long-term planning, infrastructure investments, and tangible plans. According to Singh, the region has seen an increase in central assistance over the last ten years, encompassing everything from scientific and technological initiatives targeted at rural livelihoods and sustainability to road and rail connectivity.

In a statement released by the personnel ministry, Singh's visit is a part of the Center's larger effort to keep up ongoing communication with distant and tribal groups, especially in states like Nagaland that have long-standing cultural traditions and distinctive administrative structures.
Singh gave the delegates his word that their suggestions would be considered when the appropriate government ministries framed future development projects.
According to the statement, the minister's visit to Wokha coincides with increased government efforts to guarantee last-mile delivery of programs and services throughout the northeast.

As per the ministry, the Center intends to strengthen a governance model that is cooperative federalist, participative, and sensitive to regional differences through additional engagements of this kind.
Regular field visits by Union ministers, he continued, are a component of the broader endeavor to link policies with reality on the ground.
