Sanmukh Jugani Appointed As New Regional Executive Director of AAI, Northeast Region

Sanmukh Jugani is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (1986 passing batch).

GUWAHATI: Sanmukh Jugani has taken over the charge as the new Regional Executive Director (RED) of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in the North Eastern Region, Guwahati from 01 July 2022. Before joining as head of AAI North East Region, he was posted as General Manager (Engineering- Civil) at Corporate Headquarters, New Delhi.

He is a graduate of Civil Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (1986 passing batch). He is also MBA in Operation Management from IGNOU, Delhi.

He joined AAI in the year 1989 and has held various positions at different airports including Mumbai, Vadodara, Dibrugarh, Ranchi, Corporate Headquarters Delhi, Raipur, Nagpur and Lucknow.

He has been instrumental in the execution of Airport Terminal Building Projects at Raipur (Chattisgarh), Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Runway and other pavement works at Vadodara, Lucknow, and Varanasi apart from Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) project at Fursatganj. He has also worked in the Vigilance Directorate of AAI and also has remained associated with planning, tendering and monitoring of various projects in different capacities at the AAI Corporate Headquarters level.

The timely and successful execution of projects in the North Eastern Region has always remained a challenge due to heavy rains of comparatively longer duration, connectivity issues, difficult topography and the long time required in the supply of materials.

Sanmukh Jugani is looking forward to working closely with all concerned for the successful and timely completion of all the ongoing and planned projects at various Airports of this North Eastern Region, which will increase passenger facilitation, and enhance the capacity of operations and also add to the economic development of the Region.
