The exercise was specifically designed to prepare the units for operations in the high-altitude mountains of Sikkim.
The exercise showcased the Army’s ability to coordinate firepower and engage targets accurately, highlighting their readiness to handle challenges such as high-altitude warfare.
This event underscores the Army’s commitment to maintaining high levels of efficiency, agility, and mission readiness, no matter the terrain.
With this exercise, the Indian Army continues to strengthen its capabilities, ensuring that it remains prepared to meet security needs across diverse landscapes.
Meanwhile, the Gajraj Corps of the Indian Army and IIT Guwahati have signed an agreement to develop epoxy bamboo-based composites as an alternative to traditional materials used for constructing bunkers in high-altitude areas.
The collaboration aims to build defense structures in these regions that will undergo testing, including exposure to weather conditions and small-arms fire. The new composite panels will offer the same protection as conventional materials but will be lighter, improving transportation and supply efficiency.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Major General Rohin Bawa and Prof. Devendra Jalihal. This project aligns with the Chief of the Army Staff's "Decade of Transformation" plan.
The partnership reflects the Indian Army's commitment to innovation and technological advancement, supporting the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. The General Officer emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia, industry, and the military to address modern battlefield challenges.
