Guwahati: A mega" Rozgar Mela" would be organised in the first week of January next year at Gangtok. Appointment letters to around 20, 000 youths under the "one family, one job" scheme of the state government would be handed over during the event. This was informed by Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, who is also the President of Sikkim Democratic Front while addressing a party coordination meeting at SDF Bhawan.

According to a Press Release, Constituency level committees president submitted their reports at the SDF coordination meeting.

Chamling also informed that a 1000 Bedded multi specialty hospital at Sokeythang, Gangtok would be inaugurated on January 15 next year. He further informed that all diseases including cancer would be treated at the new multi-specialty hospital along with free dialysis for the patients. The foundation stone for a medical college at the hospital would be laid in February and Sikkimese students would be provided free medical education at this medical college he informed.

The Hospital inauguration will be followed by Janta Mela series on January 16, shared the CM. He informed that grants would be provided by the state government to the monks, priest, and peachers of all faiths to purchase their religious dresses.

Chamling spoke about the landmark developments that have taken place in Sikkim during the SDF government. This is due to a progressive vision programme, a policy of the party and correct leadership. He further said that "Those who have eaten the money meant for purchasing cows for the people would also take away the destiny of Sikkim and Sikkimese people if given an opportunity. Sikkim has prospered due to good government and governance. The fortune and future of Sikkim and Sikkimese would get sold if anti-democratic, corrupt and anti-people elements come to power", said Chamling

He appealed to the people to take the upcoming Assembly elections in a serious manner. The elections is more important to the people than me, it is the people who need a good government, and a good government can be given only by a party which has good policies, ideologies and programmes he said.
