Sikkim: State Level Audit Advisory Board Meeting Held in Gangtok

The State Level Audit Advisory Board (SLAAB) held its eighth meeting in the office of the Principal Accountant General, Sikkim here on Wednesday.
The board comprised of its chairman Sushil Kumar, Principal Accountant General, Sikkim, member secretary Dinesh H. Mate and M.G. Kiran, C. Zangpo, Rakesh Kumar Soni, B.K. Jha, and SIKKIM EXPRESS editor Amit Patro as members.
Chairman Sushil Kumar, while giving insight about SLAAB, appealed everyone to come out with valuable inputs for enhancing the effectiveness of audit, a press release informs.
Deputy AG-cum-member secretary Dinesh H. Mate gave a presentation which, inter-alia, covered annual audit plan 2020-21, mode of selection of units, topics for performance audits, etc. The members were apprised that based on inputs received during previous SLAAB meetings, a performance audit of development of industries in Sikkim was taken up and featured in the Audit report 2018.
The members after deliberation on a variety of topics, suggested the ‘One Family One Job’ scheme, the functioning of Teesta Urja Limited and Swachha Bharat Abhiyan to be kept in perspective for a performance audit.
