Agartala: One more wholly BJP controlled Gaon Sabha in Kamalpur sub-division of Dhalai District is facing no-confidence from the members of the same party. Kutchainala under Durga Chawmuhani Block is the second Gaon-Sabha in the sub-division after Shantir Bazar under Salema Block is facing the same fate.

Pradhan Parbati Malakar and Upa-Pradhan Shyamal Das admitted about the no-confidence motion against them but claimed that charges brought against them were baseless and according to sources a move is on to settle the issue amicably.

Like Shantir Bazar, all the nine BJP candidates of Kuchainala Gaon-panchayat also were elected uncontested and the pradhan and upa-pradhan also were elected unopposed but the dissidence surfaced within few months. The five dissident members has already submitted a letter to the panchayat officer expressing their con-confidence over the present leaders and requested to call a meeting of the panchayat.

Pradhan Parbati Malakar expressed surprise over the move and claimed that all work were done after due consultation with these members. She said that the Gaon-Sabha got an allocation of Rs one lakh ten thousand and some work was done before Durga Puja and the rest will be done now. Similarly fund has been allocated for two roads but the work could not the initiated due to non- availability of bricks.

Regarding miss-appropriation of fund she said the money has not yet been spent then where is the scope for miss-appropriation. She said the Mandal and District presidents were apprised about the development and awaiting their decision.
