Agartala: In a bid to take the bi-ateral relation between two countries specifically with Tripura into a new height, the Bangladesh Government has proposed to set up a museum at Agartala in the name of father of nation of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and also to built a memorial for the Muktiyudhas who sacrificed their life in the liberation war of their country. Dr Hasan Mahamud, information minister of Bangladesh who is currently visiting Tripura put forward these proposals during a meeting with Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb. It is learnt that the Chief Minister also responded positively to the proposal. It may be recalled that Tripura played a vital role in the liberation war of Bangladesh and the first major onslaught against Sheik Mujibur Rahaman by the then Pakistan Government was the infamous ‘Agartala Conspiracy Case’.
