Agartala: BJP pravari Sunil Deodhar has come down heavily against State Congress president Pradyot Bikram Kishor Debbarman and accused him of playing with fire to serve his narrow political interest. Addressing a series of meetings in Dhalai and North Tripura district, Deodhar urged the royal scion to refrain from playing such a dangerous game. He said it the BJP-IPFT coalition government led by Biplab Deb that duly recognized the contributions of the former kings of Tripura.

“The Agartala airport was named after the last Maharaja and his statue also was installed during this government. The BJP government is committed to maintain communal harmony between the tribals and non- tribals following the traditions of the former Maharaja but unfortunately one of the royal scions is playing such a game that is threatening to destroy the unique environment of the State, Deodhar said.

He said both the Congress and the CPI(M) has become totally irrelevant in Indian politics and is now trying to survive embracing each other. He urged the people to reject both of them and to ensure victory of the BJP candidate which will ensure development of the State as well as the country. Deodhar was especially harsh about the 25-year-rule of the CPI(M)-led Left Front and said this party was never wanted for development of the State or its people. Now they are trying to return aligning with the Congress.
