Agartala: In a bid to disseminate the message that the BJP is a party with a difference, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb cited his own instance and some others including the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Jogi Adityanath and said this party always evaluates the contributions of the workers.
Addressing a meeting of the fish traders, the Chief Minister went out of the way and apparently tried to send a message to dissident MLA Sudip Roy Barman who was recently sacked from the Cabinet. He said many used to think of themselves as leaders, but the party selected one Chief Minister who is dedicated to the party and the cause of the people. Similar things happened in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and many other places, he said.
He said in terms of membership, the BJP is the largest political party in the world and nobody can retain ones hold in this party by way of groupism.
He also turned his gun towards the Left parties and said they were never serious about the development of the people and was doing vote bank politics.
The things have changed and the policy of the new government is to help the people to be self- sufficient and urged the fisherman community to take the advantage of new schemes being introduced for their development and to make the State self-sufficient in fish production.
