BJP to finalize Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) poll strategy on February 29

Agartala: As the election for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council is drawing closer, political parties are gearing up to finalize their strategy. Going by the trend of State politics, it is now clear that the Opposition parties are totally divided and both the CPI(M) and Congress are going to fight the election separately. But what is the biggest question is whether the ruling side will remain united?

It is expected that a reply to this question will be found on February 29 when the BJP Janjati Morcha will meet at Sahid Bhagat Singh Auditorium to determine their strategy for the election. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma and other BJP State committee members also will be present in the meeting.

It is learned that the party will take a final decision in this meeting about its strategy for the election. In the last Lok Sabha election, both the ruling alliance partners, BJP and IPFT fought the election separately. Whether they will follow the same policy in the TTAADC election will be finalized in this meeting. In absence of a final decision, both the BJP and the IPFT are now preparing to fight the election alone.
