CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Bets on BJP Comeback in Meghalaya and Nagaland, Apart From Tripura

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday bets victory of the saffron party in Meghalaya and Nagaland in the 'Booth Vijay Abhiyan' in Tripura

AGARTALA: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma joined the 'Booth Vijay Abhiyan' at Agartala, Tripura on Monday. Speaking regarding the 2023 Assembly elections here, the CM bet that the party will make a comeback not just in Tripura but also in the Meghalaya and Nagaland as well. The BJP leader who is considered to be one of the sole reasons for the victory of the Saffron party in Tripura, urged all the party workers to keep everything aside and shift their focus primarily and make certain that the party gains at least 55 votes out of 60.

Chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma further states that, earlier they had been criticized by the people when they won the elections in the Northeast states of Assam. Their victory was considered as a mere accident or coincidence. Contrary to this, when they won for the second time in both Assam and Manipur, the critics were bound to accept their victory, hence, realizing that the region has become a lasting ground for the BJP.

'' The election is approaching near and it is very important for us. We have won twice in Assam and Manipur and I'm sure we shall gain victory in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland as well'' stated the CM.

Sarma emphasized more in the grass root level at the booths, and said that the public voted for them earlier to get freedom from the communist rule and this time in 2023, they will root for the BJP in a view of a more widened developmental scenario in the States.

The CM further says that they have bought in 'change' in the society prior to the upcoming election, and this time they are going to bring in 'development' for all.

Tripura is a free state currently with no interference of the communists, the people are far away from violence. All of these took place under the BJP rule, he said.

He further mentions that Tripura is now  on the developmental path under BJP as institutions like the IIT, NFU and NLU are being set up here.

Sarma was confident enough about his party and said that even if all the anti-BJP collaborates and act against them, still the saffron party will defeat them altogether. He claims that they are much stronger as compared to what they were in 2018.
