
AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Monday that the general conviction rate of various cases in Tripura has increased by 20 per cent over the past three years.
Answering the questions of the MLAs in the ongoing budget session of the Tripura assembly, the Chief Minister said that in 2024, the conviction rate in criminal cases in the state stands at 29.80 per cent. Saha, who also holds the Home portfolio, also informed that to ensure the effective execution of the three newly enacted criminal laws, the state government has decided to establish Deputy Director of Prosecution offices in all eight districts of Tripura.
