Dengue Fear in Tripura

Dengue Fear in Tripura

A Correspondent

Agartala: Amid reports of jaundice and hepatitis C spreading in different parts of the State, a new concern – Dengue – has cropped up. Many people in Bangladesh are now affected by dengue and it is feared that the deadly disease may affect villages in the Indian side. Apprehending such a fallout, the State Health Department has already activated its machinery and instructed all the district Chief Medical Officers to maintain vigil. All the paramedical staff and ASHA workers also have been sensitized over the possible spread of the disease. Already 55 cases of dengue have been reported in Tripura this year.
