Don’t Be Complacent, Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb to Party Workers

Agartala: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is crisscrossing the State to rejuvenate party workers for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election as well as to ensure a good turnout at Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi’s public function which will be held at Vivekananda Stadium here on February 9.

After touring the north, the Chief Minister visited Gomati and South districts on Wednesday and held meetings with party functionaries and government officials. He also reviewed the performance of the government departments.

Preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections received maximum priority during discussions with the party leaders as the Chief Minister who is also the State president of the BJP said there is no space for complacency.

He told the leaders to use the Prime Minister’s visit to gear up the organisation. He also held separate meetings with the Pristha Pramokhs and Bistaraks of the party and told them to take special responsibility to ensure that each and every party workers are activated and each and every voter is contacted.

Ajoy Jamwal, BJP’s organisational secretary for Northeast was also present with the Chief Minister in several meetings. Jamwal reportedly advised party workers that the Prime Minister’s meeting on Sunday is a government programme and asked the workers to keep it apolitical. He instructed the party workers not to carry any party flag or festoon while attending the meeting.
