DyCM Jishnu Dev Varma: 'Goal Of Communists Is To Deceive People With False Information'

AGARTALA: Jishnu Dev Varma, the deputy chief minister of Tripura, criticised CPIM on January 9 and said that the party's only goal is to mislead people by spreading untrue information.

On January 9, the DyCM took part in the "Jana Viswas Yatra" in the Dhalai district with former CM and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Food and Civil Supply Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

"CPIM has no specific plans for how it will help the state's citizens. They don't know what they spent money on during their reign. They have no development-related slogan. Additionally, they don't know what they'll do in the upcoming days, according to DyCM.

As Jitendra Chowdhury, the secretary of the CPIM state committee, has sought to see the accounts from the current government, he also challenged Chowdhury to demonstrate the expenditures that had been made during their time.

"I want to say to him that you give the accounts of your last 25 years first. I have observed how CPIM has left the state with a financial load as the state's finance minister. The minister stated, "Now that we are recovering from that load, we have given individuals a social pension of Rs 2000.

"Our ability to rule is predicated on the trust of the general populace. We don't want to conduct this administration the way the prior administration did by duping the populace," he continued.

In addition, Varma made fun of the MLA for the Congress, Sudip Roy Barman, and the previous MLA and senior leader, Asish Kumar Saha, claiming that they are still looking for democracy despite switching parties multiple times.

CPIM's claim of starvation, he continued, shows that they have no connection to the populace because BJP is giving out free grains to the populace.

"When they had no problems, they misinformed the public in an effort to cause confusion. A different group travelled from West Bengal and brought footballs and slogans with them. However, after we won every seat in the city body election, they "returned to their destination like football," he continued.
