Jawan infected by COVID-19: Positive cases rise to two in Tripura

Tripura: The new coronavirus positive cases have increased to two in Tripura as one more has been confirmed as infected by the deadly virus which claimed lives more than hundred in India, till now. The state’s second positive person is a jawan of Tripura State Rifles. Informing this, on Friday, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has tweeted, “ALERT! One more #COVID19 positive case in Tripura has been confirmed, taking the total number to 02. The patient is 32 years old Male from Madhya Pradesh and currently staying at Damcherra & has travelled along with the last COVID19 positive patient in train." He would be admitted to GB Pant hospital, Agartala, informed sources. The first new coronavirus positive person in the state is a 45-year-old woman who travelled Guwahati last month. She stayed in a hotel in Guwahati for two days and visited the Kamakhya Temple. She was detected positive for novel coronavirus on April 6.
