
AGARTALA: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda arrived in Agartala on March 9 to address a massive gathering at Swami Vivekanand Maidan, celebrating the two-year completion of the current BJP-led government in Tripura.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya and Lok Sabha MP Kriti Singh Debbarma welcomed Nadda at MBB Airport in Agartala. The event marks a significant milestone for the state's BJP government, highlighting its achievements over the past two years.
"A nine-member committee headed by the senior minister Ratan Lal Nath has been constituted to organize the mega rally successfully. Ministers, MLAs, and other leaders are working in their areas to make the rally a grand success," Bhattacharjee said.
"Hon'ble Union Minister for Health Shri @JPNadda Ji announced two new schemes of the Tripura Government empowering our daughters, a day after International Women's Day," CM Manik Saha stated in his official handle X.
Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana: Under this scheme, the state government will make a bond of Rs. 50,000 for every girl child to be born in BPL families. When the girl will turn 18, the bond will turn into an amount of Rs. 8-10 lakh at the time of maturity.
Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana: Under this scheme, 140 high secondary passed meritorious girl students (every board) will be given a scooty.
