
AGARTALA: In a remarkable turn of event, Master Utkarsh Mohan Bhanarkar, a student from Sainik School Korukonda, was successfully rescued after going missing for over a month. The 13-year-old had disappeared on December 19, 2024, while traveling from Secunderabad to Vijayanagaram.
On January 23, 2025, Utkarsh made contact with his father, revealing that he had been drugged and robbed by miscreants. He also mentioned that he was en route to Agartala. Upon getting to know about their son's distressing situation, his parents immediately sought help from the troops of Spear Corps, who promptly coordinated with the Railway Protection Force and the Child Welfare Commission.
In a collaborative effort, the authorities successfully located and rescued the young boy at Agartala Railway Station. Master Utkarsh received medical attention before being sent home on a commercial flight. He was reunited with his family on January 25, 2025, bringing a joyful conclusion to this harrowing ordeal.
Meanwhile, in a swift and successful operation, an East Guwahati Police Department team rescued two girls who had been reported missing on January 24, 2025. The duo were found loitering on GS Road just a day after going missing.
Two individuals, identified as 20-year-old Akash Nayak of Hyderabad, Santosh Das aka Rahul Das, aged 22 and hailing from Jalukbari, were detained at the Jalukbari Police Station. Legal action has been initiated against both the accused.
