New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Manipur for election campaign from Tuesday.
“During his two-day visit to the three northeastern States, Rahul Gandhi will address several election rallies apart from meeting Congress office bearers,” said Congress spokesperson Szarita Laitphlang.
On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting at the Indira Gandhi Park Ground in Itanagar at around 12:30 pm. At 2:30 pm, the Congress president will address meeting of extended PCC with DCC and Block presidents in Itanagar. In the evening at around 4:30, he will reach Imphal and address an extended PCC meeting. “Several other senior central leadership will be visiting the Northeast in the coming days,” said Laitphlang.
On the issue of alliance with like-minded parties in Northeast, the Congress spokesperson said that “Option for an alliance is always open with like-minded people,” Though Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora said that Congress in Assam will contest alone
