AGARTALA: The second phase of the recruitment rally under the Agniveer scheme is scheduled to take place from January 15 to 18, 2025, in Agartala. It will be held at Swami Vivekananda Stadium where selected candidates are scheduled to undergo a series of physical tests. Candidates were selected on the basis of their performance in the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
As part of the recruitment process, candidates will undertake a 1.6 km run followed by other physical tests and body measurements to evaluate the level of their fitness. Indian Army has already issued e-mail intimation to all the shortlisted candidates; admit cards for the physical test are also mailed.
The Agniveer recruitment process is a part of the ongoing recruitment process of young people into the Indian Army. The Silchar office of the Indian Army has informed that all arrangements have been made to conduct the recruitment rally.
Qualifiers of the physical tests will be further processed for the rest of the recruitment process that would include medical tests and verification of documents.
Meanwhile, earlier last year, six young men from Tamenglong district, who were trained by Assam Rifles, were selected for the Indian Army’s Agniveer training. The successful candidates were felicitated by Assam Rifles on October 17 after completing rigorous pre-recruitment training, which initially had 31 participants. Of these, 16 passed the written tests, and six were ultimately selected for the Agniveer recruitment.
