AGARTALA: Tripura Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated two Force Urbania (16+D) buses and ten FRP pedal boats in Agartala as new tourist facilities on Wednesday.
In order to improve the comfort and enjoyment of visitors, he ceremoniously waved off the two AC buses and the boat service at Ujjayanta Palace.
Speaking at the ceremony, he stated that by encouraging the tourism sector, the state government has made a major move to provide new job prospects.
He highlighted specific initiatives for enhancing the state's tourism industry and the government's dedication to sustainable tourism growth. He conveyed the hope that these new efforts would increase the state's appeal as a travel destination in the days ahead.
The minister pointed out that the opening of these facilities is an aspect of a long-term plan for the state's overall tourism growth. He also emphasized the necessity of creative planning and thinking in order to launch new amenities and attractions in the future.
The state has introduced air-conditioned bus services to improve accessibility to popular tourist destinations, making travel easier for both domestic and foreign visitors.
The two newly launched buses, which are equipped with contemporary technology and are manufactured by Indian government-approved enterprises, were purchased for Rs. 57.86 lakh.
Plans have been put in place to hold 17 people per bus. He added that 50 contemporary boats had been purchased for water-based tourism in different places.
Senior representatives from the Tourism department, including joint director Aniruddha Roy and director Prashant Badal Negi, attended the event.
