Tripura: Asian Development Bank delegation inspects water supply project in Udaipur

UDAIPUR: A central delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited Udaipur to inspect the bank’s loan-assisted water supply treatment project undertaken by the Urban Development department. An eight-member delegation from the ADB Women's Office and New Delhi Office conducted the inspection.

The delegation examined the water treatment and reservoir plants, part of a larger urban infrastructure initiative funded by the ADB. “With the sanctioning of funds from ADB, we have taken various urban infrastructure projects, including water supply,” said an ADB official from Agartala.

The official added, “An eight-member delegation from ADB Central Office visited Tripura and reviewed various developmental works. We inspected the water treatment plant to be set up at Banduar and are confident of completing it within the stipulated time. The central delegation’s advice is crucial for the project’s successful completion, ensuring water supply facilities for Udaipur residents.”

“We conducted a thorough inspection of the site and are confident in meeting the project’s deadline. The delegation’s valuable advice is essential for the successful completion of this project, which will provide crucial water supply facilities for Udaipur residents,” he added.

The inspection aims to ensure timely and effective implementation of the project, contributing to improved urban infrastructure and water supply in the region.
