AGARTALA: 16 days after the Tripura government has allowed physical classed for students studying from class 6 to 12, on Thursday the government has allowed to conduct physical classes for the students studying in class 1 to 5 from 13th September as the Covid situation ha improved in the state.

According to notification undersigned by Chandni Chandran, director of elementary education informed that after closure due to COVID-19 Pandemic situation , students of Class Vl to Xll have already been allowed to attend schools from 25th August, Now in continuation of that , it has been further resolved that students of class l-V will also be allowed to attend schools from 13th September.

"In this regard, in persistence of the measures earlier prescribed during the reopening for Class Vl-Xll, school authorities are requested to ensure the parental consent is of primary importance with respect to students' attendance. As it appears that learning loss caused due to closure of schools especially with respect to basic skills in reading and numeracy. Department have initiated Catch up Campaign under 'Nutan Disha' for bridging the gap and follow up action in this regard to be ensure. The focus should be on identification of weak students, drop out students and out of school children with remedial measures", the notification said.

It's also reads that the HMs/ TlCs shall make seating arrangements of students in the classroom in such a manner that prescribed distance is maintained.

The director also said that hot cooked Mid-Day Meal shall be provided to all the students of Class l-V along with that for Class Vl-Vlll which already been commenced.

"All the prescribed measures to be strictly followed to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and safety of the children. The serving of meal may be done in a spread-out manner in batches to follow physical / social distancing norms and use of mask by all the stakeholders in the school is mandatory".
