
AGARTALA: Animal Resources Development Minister Sudhangshu Das, accompanied by the secretary and senior officials of the department, on Wednesday began a two-day visit to North Tripura district. The visit started with a detailed review meeting held at the District Magistrate's conference hall in North Tripura.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, the likes of which include Sabhadipati of Uttar Tripura Zilla Parishad, Aparna Nath; director of the various departments; and many other officials. The general agenda for discussion was to critically assess how well the state and central development projects have been implemented in the district.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Das said the key importance of this evaluation of the progress of these initiatives lies in understanding how the allocated projects have benefited the public during the financial year 2024-25 and to also identify and address the shortcomings in their execution.
The two-day program has scheduled a review session, and a field visit today. During the field visit, the minister and officials will inspect the on-ground progress to ensure transparency and accountability.
Minister Das reiterated the commitment of the government to development, which stated that such initiatives are meant to bring maximum public benefit and fill in gaps in implementation. The visit underlines a hands-on approach to governance and reflects the administration's dedication to ensuring that development reaches all corners of the district.
