Agartala: The Tripura State Planning Board has been constituted for the first time since the BJP-IPFT coalition government came into power. The board headed by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will hold its first meeting on June 3 where it will finalize a roadmap for making Tripura a model State by 2022.
Advisor to Chief Minister RK Mathur is the vice-chairman of the board and the members includes Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, Revenue Minister NC Debbarma, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman, Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Tribal Welfare Minister Meber Kumar Jamatia and MLA Kalyanai Roy.
Eminent personalities who were included in the board as member includes Dr Priya Ranjan Swarup, NK Maini, Reshmi Verma, J Satyanarayana, Prof Arunoday Saha, Dr Ashok Sinha, Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University and Director of NIT-Agartala.
Sources in the planning department said a presentation will be made in the meeting giving detail statistics and the present position of the State. It also willhave projections about the future prospects in different fields.
