SHANTIR BAZAR: A mysterious disappearance of a woman from a bus has left the authorities puzzled, with her lifeless body being discovered in a jungle three days later in Tripura's Gomati District on Tuesday.

The police, led by Sub-divisional Police Officer Souvik Dey, arrived at the scene and recovered the body. It was subsequently handed over to her family, while investigations into the incident continue.

Sukku Bilash Mog, a woman from Shantir Bazar in South Tripura, was taken by her family to Agartala for treatment at GB Hospital. On their return to Shantir Bazar, they realized she was missing from the bus. The bus conductor informed them that she had exited the bus at the Brammabari area in Udaipur.

Despite searching various locations, the family was unable to trace her. On Tuesday, authorities received a report of a body found in a jungle. Police recovered the remains and notified the family, who had previously filed a missing person report. Upon arrival, the family identified the body as that of Sukku Bilash Mog.

Meanwhile, earlier last month, the body of Suvendu Choudhary, the Northeast Frontier Railway's (NF Railway) Principal Chief Safety Officer, was found late Wednesday, followed by a rigorous four-day search.

The body of the officer was found in Demwe, which was about eight river kilometres downstream of the Lohit River in the Tezu area of Arunachal Pradesh.

After being notified about the incident, senior NF Railway authorities quickly arrived at the scene.

While visiting Parshuram Kund, the 55-year-old officer was carried away by the powerful currents of the Lohit river and disappeared on Sunday.
