Apple Launches Cheapest 5G Phone 'iPhone' SE (2022) - Know Details Here

On Tuesday 8 March, Apple has finally launched its cheapest phone with 5G connectivity at a virtual event of the company.

Apple's latest budget iPhone model has been in rumours for the past few months and now the company confirmed the news and introduced the phone by revealing its features and specifications.

iPhone SE 2022 is an up-gradation of the earlier model iPhone SE 2020 that was launched in the month of April 2020. The new phone has 3 major hardware-level upgrades and has the same design language as the previous iPhone SE model launched 2 years ago.

Apart from the 5G network connectivity, the new iPhone is powered by the A15 Bionic chip that was unveiled by the company in 2021.

Something most exciting is that this iPhone model will be available at a very low cost despite the advanced technology and excellent features. It is introduced at an affordable price in comparison to the other models of the iPhone.

The new iPhone will be available to buy in the market from 18 March 2022 as informed by the company on Tuesday.

iPhone SE 2022 price in India:

In India, this new iPhone model will cost at least Rupees 43,900 which is the starting price for the base 64GB. The iPhone SE 2022 with 128 GB will be priced at Rupees 48,900 and the one that comes with 256GB will cost Rupees 58,900.

However, in the United States, the new iPhone price will start from 429 dollars which is approximately Rupees 33,000.

1. The new iPhone runs on iOS 15

2. The iPhone SE (2022) measures 138.4x67.3x7.3mm and weighs 144 grams.

3. 4.7-inch Retina HD display with a 750x1,334 pixels resolution

4. The new iPhone SE carries the "toughest glass in a smartphone" on the front and back.

5. A15 Bionic chip under the hood.

6. Single 12-megapixel camera sensor on the back with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens.

7. The new iPhone's rear camera supports Deep Fusion, Photographic Styles and Smart HDR 4. It is also protected by a sapphire crystal lens cover.

8. 7-megapixel camera sensor at the front, along with an f/2.2 lens for selfies and video calls.

9. Sensors onboard include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor accelerometer, barometer and a three-axis gyroscope.

10. The new iPhone SE is touted to deliver an "all-day battery life" and the built-in battery delivers up to 15 hours of video playback or up to 50 hours of audio playback on a one-time charge.

11. Qi standard-based wireless charging support is also provided with the new iPhone.

12. Connectivity features of iPhone SE (2022) include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a Lightning port.
