Body of woman recovered in Shillong's Jhalpara area

East Khasi Hills district Police on Tuesday recovered a body of a young woman on the bank of the Umshyrpi River in Mathura Compound in Jhalupara area in Shillong.

The woman is assumed to be under 20's. Police suspected that the woman might have been raped and murdered.

The victim is reported to be a resident of Nongmynsong, was reported missing since November 30.
