Burglars breaks into a house in Lumding, steal 21-tola Gold and cash of Rs 45,000

In what could be considered as a heavy-handed robbery, thieves stole 21-tola gold ornaments and cash from a house on Monday night.

As per initial reports, the thieves barged into the residence of one Deo Krishan Rathi of Sankarpalli area in Lumding by breaking open the lock and stole 21-tola gold ornaments and cash Rs 45,000.

The residents of the house had reportedly gone to Guwahati for some medical treatment, thus, taking advantage of the situation, thieves conducted the crime.

The incident has come to light on Tuesday morning. A case was registered in connection to the matter at Lumding Police Station.
