Closure of BSNL is completely baseless and untrue: BSNL CGM Assam

The Chief General Manager, BSNL, Assam, Sandeep Govil has intimated that the recent media reports published in some Newspapers on October 9th and 10th 2019 and also circulating through electronic/social media platforms regarding recommendations of Finance Ministry GOI for closure of BSNL is completely baseless and untrue.

He further stated that BSNL is a 100% GOI owned PSU and is having a robust network infrastructure.

Notably, UIDAI has recently designated BSNL Customer Service Centres as AADHAAR SEVA KENDRA for Aadhaar enrollment services on pan India basis.

A total of 36 customer service centres has been commenced for Aadhaar enrollment services by BSNL Assam.
