A devastating cyclone hits Jorhat in the afternoon hours on Monday.

The sudden spell of heavy rainfall led to a huge traffic congestion in the district near Baruah Chariali and Jorhat Medical College link road today afternoon.

Also, power supply was snapped due to uprooting of electricity poles.

Furthermore, there was a disruption in mobile network connectivity due to the stormy weather conditions.
