Danger Alarm: Rise in water level by 10 cm per hour due to Pipeline Burst in Dima Hasao

Sudden Burst in the pipeline at the hydro-power plant connecting the reservoir at Umrangso area in Dima Hasao district of Assam on last Monday has led to the rise in 10 cm in the water level per hour in since past 48 hours.

A large portion of the Kopili Hydro Electric Plant of state-run North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) was also inundated due to the rupture in the pipeline that carries 12,000 litres of water per second.
