Excise Department raids in Guwahati's Maligaon area, several stores destroyed

The Excise Department on Sunday seized a huge quantity of illicit country-made liquor and Indian Made Foreign liquors (IMFL) from Maligaon-Pandu area in Guwahati. The Department also carried out raids against illicit distillation of liquor in the region and destroyed several litres on the spot. Moreover, the department also arrested two people for drinking alcohol in public places in the city.
