Five dead after fatal head-on-collision near NH 15 in Gohpur

In a tragic road accident, five people died after a severe head on collision between a truck and passenger carrying van at Diplu area in Gohpur under Biswanath District.

Following the collision, both the truck bearing registration number AS 25EC 1656 and public van bearing registration number AS 12C 7935 skidded off the National Highway 15 and fell upon a roadside ditch.

The deceased persons were identified as Chandra Kutum (55), Satyaban Kutum (25), Brajen Bora (23) and Sabitri Gogoi (50).

On the other hand, another passenger identified as Gunmai Gogoi (42) succumbed to injuries on way to Tezpur.
